It has been confirmed that the film is about the animals starting the plane on Madagascar, and then landing in Africa, and meeting some of Alex's family. The previous title was "Madagascar: The Crate Escape", which was featured on a trailer with Ben Stiller. The film is rated PG for some mild crude humor.
